Outward opening Nordica Flush Casement Aluminium-clad Window is a range of flush casement windows designed to a Scandinavian frame profile with slim attractive sightlines but with all the protective benefits of aluminium external protection - reducing maintenance and upkeep to a minimum whilst offering a contemporary and attractive appearance.

Overview

Aluminium-clad timber composite window.

Timber manufactured from preservative treated laminated Scandinavian slow-grown Redwood. Also available in Hardwoods: Oak and Meranti.

All timber is manufactured from engineered laminated profiles to ensure structural integrity and durability.

Factory finished two-coat micro-porous paint or stain.

Factory fitted double or triple-glazing.

Multi-point espagnolette locking.

Window Models

Side-hung casement (butt hinges) available with stay arm brake.

Projecting side-hung 90° or side-swing (easy clean).

Projecting top-hung casement.

Top-swing 180° (fully reversible to allow cleaning from inside).

Fixed windows and screens.

Doors Options

The Combi Entrance, Balcony, and French doors are also available in aluminium-clad versions.

Glazing choices

Standard - Double-glazed units with soft-coat low-e and Argon gas filling with a centre-pane u-value of 1.1W/m2K. In addition, specifying the latest "Warm Edge" spacers' technology for the glazing unit can further reduce the whole window U-value.

Triple-glazed windows are available in the same opening options.

Safety glass can be provided either as toughened; or a laminated glass can be added for enhanced safety and security.

Obscure glass can offered in sandblasted or in a variety of decorative glass for extra privacy.

Other specialist glazed units incorporating solar control, acoustic, and self-cleaning are available.

Glazing bars

Glass dividing tenon-jointed or structural bars - transoms (horizontal) or mullions (vertical). These are used between opening sashes and fixed lights, or to create a more generous or substantial appearance to a design.

Decorative glazing bars are a slimmer, more elegant answer to those who wish to create a traditional appearance. With timber glazing bar both inside or outside, with internal spacer bars between the glass. This gives the appearance of panes created from separated glazed units, as it would have been done traditionally.
